Bronze, 59 g; 50 mm. Edge: BALME hallmark + BRONZE.

Engraver: Lignier Yencesse appears to be Geneviève Lignier-Yencesse, daughter of Ovide Yencesse and sister of Hubert Yencesse. However, she died in 1987, while the medal dates from 1989 and commemorates the death of the Duke of Cádiz! Perhaps an earlier portrait was reused?

Or could the engraver have been one of her children, since she married Robert Lignier in 1921?
