Very rare large folio book in rigid illustrated box. Lancelot lengyel the Gallic art in the medals.

Large folio of 59 pages and 48 separate boards under rigid illustrated box (37cm x 27,7cm). Complete and excellent condition, slight wear and dirt of use to the rigid box. Famous work, printed only 1000 copies.

This precious copy bears the number 20 and an autograph dedication of the author. André Breton, whose admiration for the Gallic coins he himself collected, also possessed an autographed copy. (Breton sale 2003, lot 3116).
