Lyon : token of the Michel family 1699. Strangely, Jean tricou has expressed doubts about the Lyon origin of this token (perhaps because of the setback that is frequently found on Parisian tokens). Yet the Michel family is well-known in Lyon and we find its coat of arms on tokens of Lyon echevins in particular the f. So there seems to be no doubt about its origin. Corpus 9,12 g; 29 mm.
