Very rare currency of necessity for the French colonies, existing in small and big module, struck on old money of louis xvi with the dies having served with the making of buttons of revolutionary uniforms of the French army. Obverse: French republic, beams surmounted by a Phrygian cap surrounded by a laurel wreath.
Hit with revolutionary button matrix used for the 1792/1793 infantry line. Reverse: early relief showing the contours of the so-called "cross" fastener used to sew the button, obviously, since struck on money, the cross tie could not reach 10 mm. Beautiful money with no wear deserve the spl / fdc, wide, well centered and very beautiful reliefs (see photo). Beautiful patina of medal, no shock or streak of circulation weight: 4.44 gr diameter: 27 mm.
