Period strike (no edge hallmark). Struck for the marriage of Ferdinand-Philippe d'Orléans to Princess Hélène of Mecklenburg-Schwerin. This marriage was celebrated on May 30, 1837, at the Château de Fontainebleau. This medal is very rare.
